I enjoy creating images, both to facilitate education and communication and for purely decorative purposes. I also love finding new uses for my creations and spending time refining images both on the computer or by hand. Whether the requirements call for high levels of detail or simplification to make a concept more clear, I am capable of making necessary adjustments in an aesthetically pleasing way . I am happy to customize any design to optimize its function and ensure coordination with the overall theme. My work centers around capturing the intracacies and beauty of the natural world.
I have had photographs published both in print and online, in addition to the illustrations in my own publications and have been hired as an illustrator or illustration consultant on additional projects (see Textbook Illustration and Marine Science Illustrations). I am currently working as an illustration consultant for a textbook with the UC Press and have made several original illustrations for Ocean Classrooms and World Below the Waves presentations. I am also experienced with creating and modifying designs for weddings invitations and more Stationary, Invitations, & Cards. See additional designs in paintings & drawings.
